These days you can’t throw a stone without hitting a photographer or three – we’re literally EVERYWHERE! And because the market is saturated with camera-toting dabblers posing as professionals, it can be really hard to know who to trust with your family’s memories.

My technical skills, my eye for those perfect moments, and the ability to approach each session as if it were the most important shoot of my life.

But more than anything, I want to tell your story and provide you with an experience that’s less about “saying cheese” and more about catching authentically beautiful moments between you and the people you love most in the world.

• Family sessions are 1-2 hours in length. They’re a little bit shorter with kids under 2 years old because, holy short attention span!
• Outdoor sessions are shot 2 hours before sunset or 1 hour after sunrise. My unsolicited (and totally necessary) advice? Unless you want photos of tantrums, meltdowns, and cranky people, it’s a great idea to adjust nap times accordingly!
• Timing for indoor sessions can vary as our #1 goal is to shoot during the time of day when your house gets the very best light. When we plan your session, we’ll discuss the particulars for our best plan of action.
• Sessions are designed to capture the whole family (yes, moms, I’m looking at you!)… Any and every combination of people you want in a photo can happen during your session – the possibilities are endless!
• Don’t be afraid to pick up your kids and toss them in the air, have fun, joke, hug, kiss, and snuggle. I don’t overly pose but I will direct you to get the best shots.The majority of your photos will showcase natural interactions and genuine connections.

As I sort through all of the images from our session, I’ll hand-pick the very best ones and begin the editing process. Depending on the types of photos you requested in our initial appointment, expect a mixture of posed and spontaneous lifestyle photos that capture your family’s vibe in addition to those small, precious moments that touch your heart.
